Fingers & Forks Catering delivers quality wholesale and corporate catering including grazing tables, platters and boxes, sandwiches, wraps, salads and baguettes to the Greater Brisbane Region. Their large catering and production team supports social events, office lunches and conferences, as well packaged wholesale food solutions.
How did you first hear about FoodStorm?
FoodStorm came highly recommended from a friend in the catering industry after they had much success implementing the software.
What challenges/problems triggered Fingers & Forks to implement catering software?
For nearly 10 years we had used a very basic process to consolidate orders and manage our general operations. However, as our business grew and we launched additional catering services, such as grazing tables, staff meals and finger foods, our systems quickly became slow and laborious, prompting us to find a better solution.
What system did you use before FoodStorm?
We had quite a manual process with all our orders coming through via email or phone and then being manually input into Excel spreadsheets for kitchen operations and logistics. We were also using our accounting software to manage inventory and invoicing, but it became too much.
What were you looking for in catering software solution?
We were hoping to find a system that could manage all of our catering services—wholesale, event and corporate—along with our multiple menus and pricing for our various clients at the same time.
What made FoodStorm stand out over other software you researched?
We had never seen a system that delivered our many operational requirements in such a simple-to-use manner.
How has FoodStorm helped your business since implementation?
Time is money and FoodStorm has streamlined our business in so many ways, we are now finding time to focus on our business growth rather than spreadsheets. We’ve increased productivity immensely through the comprehensive management of multiple enquiries, quotes with various templates, images and pricing all from one system.
What have you been most impressed with being a FoodStorm customer?
The customer service team is incredible and have been amazing since our initial setup and training, giving us full confidence in using FoodStorm. Someone from their Support Team is always available if we call. The platform functionality is also incredibly easy to navigate.
How has your customers’ experience changed since you implemented FoodStorm? Have they provided any feedback?
Our customers’ feedback has been how easy it is to place their orders, save their favourites and repeat orders.
What is your favourite FoodStorm feature?
I love the fact that I can change my eCommerce shopping cart so easily and quickly. Also, the ‘History’ feature is fantastic when dealing with wholesale clients when their staff are unfamiliar with ordering.
